Privacy Policy App

This Privacy Policy describes how the Social Post Engine for Maveristic (the "App") collects, uses, and handles your information. The App is a Google Apps Script tool integrated with a Google Sheet, designed to facilitate posting content to Facebook Pages and Groups.

Information We Collect

  1. Information You Provide:
    Facebook Credentials:     We store a Facebook User Access Token, provided by an administrator, using Google Apps Script's secure PropertiesService. This token is used solely to authenticate with the Facebook API on your behalf.
    Sheet Content: Any data you enter into the Master Google Sheet, including Source content (captions, hashtags, image URLs) and Target details (Facebook Page/Group names and IDs).
    Admin Emails: The email addresses of designated administrators are stored within the script's code to manage access to setup functions.

  2. Information from Google:
    User Email:     The App checks the email address of the currently logged-in Google user (Session.getEffectiveUser().getEmail()) to determine if they are an administrator. This information is used only for this check and is not stored.
    Google Sheet Data: The App reads from and writes to your designated Google Sheets (Sources, Targets, Posts (log)). All of this data resides within your own Google Workspace environment.

  3. Information from Facebook:
    Post IDs:     After a successful post, the App receives a Post ID from Facebook, which is then logged in your Posts (log) sheet for your records. The App does not collect any other personal data from your Facebook account.

How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used exclusively to:

  • Authenticate with the Facebook API to post content.

  • Post your specified text and images to your designated Facebook Pages and Groups.

  • Log the activity of each post for your internal records.

  • Manage administrative access within the App.

Data Storage and Security

  • The primary storage for all your content and logs is your own Google Sheet, under the security of your Google Workspace account.

  • The Facebook Access Token is stored securely in Google Apps Script's PropertiesService, which is private to the script project and not visible in the sheet.

  • We take reasonable measures to protect the information, but as the data resides in your Google account, you are also responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent your information with any third parties, with the following exceptions:

  • Facebook: We share your post content (text, images) and Access Token with Facebook via their API, as this is the core function of the App.

  • Google: Your data is inherently stored on Google's platform (Google Sheets, Apps Script).

Your Control Over Data

You have full control over your data. Since all content and logs are stored in your Google Sheet, you can view, modify, or delete any information at any time by simply editing the sheet.
